Prelude to SDCC: Breaking Bad

In anticipation of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con we’re looking at everything we know will be there, some things that may show up, and what we know about the various projects so far. The San Diego Comic Con is the biggest pop culture convention in the world, and many studios release new information on projects, new trailers, and much more over the five days of the convention. Today we’re taking a look at the Breaking Bad reunion and what the panel may reveal for Better Call Saul.

Entertainment Weekly recently reunited the cast of Breaking Bad to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the show, and this year SDCC will host a panel celebrating the anniversary as well. The panel for the reunion will take place immediately after a panel for the spin-off Better Call Saul, which is entering it’s fourth Season. This new Season of Better Call Saul will see the return of Giancarlo Esposito in the role of the drug kingpin Gus Fring. However, there’s plenty of talk on whether or not Bryan Canston’s Walter White and Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman will make an appearance.

Despite the rumors of past characters returning for Better Call Saul and the expressed interest of the actors, it hasn’t happened yet. Creator Vince Gilligan stated that he wants the two in the series but needs it to be more than just a one-off cameo.

While nothing has been revealed as of yet to when, how, or if the two would show up in the spin-off, if that announcement is going to be made anytime soon, it’s going to happen at this panel. In front of an audience hall of fans who adore the show is the perfect way to reveal the characters could be returning.

There’s bound to be at least a few new bits of information concerning Better Call Saul coming our way. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on all of it!
