The 2018 San Diego International Comic Con is in full swing and we’ve got all the big updates you want to hear about! The Breaking Bad spinoff series, Better Call Saul, is currently heading into it’s 4th Season, and it’s beginning to get closer to the original series. At this year’s SDCC it was revealed the the new season will continue to introduce more characters from the original series. One of which will be Lalo, played by Tony Dalton (Sens8) who was merely referenced in the second season of Breaking Bad. You can check out the new trailer for the upcoming season below.
There have been rumors of more members of the cast of Breaking Bad appearing on the spinoff, and we have seen the return of Giancarlo Esposito as the drug kingpin Gus Fring. It’s still unclear when and if Walter White or Jesse Pinkman, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul respectively, would show up on the series. But the producers of the show confirmed that it wouldn’t happen this upcoming season.
That being said they did confirm that things are getting close. With star Bob Odenkirk admitting, “there’s one scene [this season] that could have been on Breaking Bad.” There weren’t many details beyond that, but it’s safe to assume that if the series goes to five seasons we may finally see Walt and/or Jesse return.
Better Call Saul returns to AMC on August 6th. Keep following Poor Man’s Spoiler throughout the weekend for more updates on everything coming out of SDCC 2018!
