Captain Marvel Trailer: Brie Larson is the Next Big MCU Hero (Updated)

This morning Brie Larson appeared on Good Morning America to FINALLY present the first trailer for Marvel’s next film Captain Marvel. We’ve got the trailer below followed by more details on the film. (Update: We also have a new Poster!)

This was definitely well worth the wait. The film is set for release on March 8th and sees Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. The film is a prequel within the MCU taking place in the early 90’s. We’ll see Samuel L. Jackson return as Nick Fury, Clark Gregg reprising the role of Agent Phil Coulson, Djimon Hounsou and Lee Pace reprising their Guardians of the Galaxy roles of Korath and Ronan. The film also sees Ben Mendelsohn, Annette Bening and Jude Law joining the MCU.

While little is known to the full plot of the film the official logline states, “Carol Danvers becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.” We do know that one of the two alien races is the Skrulls, the infamous shape-shifting Marvel villains that were the big bads for the highly successful comics storyline, Secret Invasion.

Check out some photos from the film below, and be sure to keep checking Poor Man’s Spoiler for more updates on Captain Marvel as we head towards it’s March 8th release date.

(Update: Marvel has also released a new Poster for the film which you can check out below followed by photos from the film.)
