26th Annual SAG Award Winners: Parasite Wins Big

ParasiteJoker, and Judy are heading into the Oscars as major leaders.

This past weekend the Screen Actors Guild celebrated the year in film and TV with their awards for the best performances in 2019. Parasite took home the big prize, with Best Ensemble in a Motion Picture. The film’s win is the first time in the history of the awards that a foreign feature took home Best Ensemble. Joaquin Phoenix and Renée Zellweger took home awards for their performances in Joker and Judy respectively. As of now it pushes Phoenix and Zellweger as the front runners for the Oscars, and gives Parasite a major leg up on the competition. How things will shape up in the coming weeks as more awards come in remains to be seen, but the Oscar race is far from over.
