Deadpool Reshoots: All Good News

After rumors that the untitled Deadpool sequel had faced some bad test screening and required reshoots to fix the film, a new report says that things are looking up. Collider has reported that the test screenings have gone remarkably well, with audiences rating the film in the nineties (out of 100). The reshoots include more of Josh Brolin’s Cable and Zazie Beets’ Domino, which audiences wanted to see more of.

All the Details on Netflix’s Sabrina the Teenage Witch Show

After the huge cult success of CW’s Riverdale and its incredible performance on Netflix, the streaming site has been at work on a spinoff based on the beloved Archie comics character Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. The show is currently rumored to be titled The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. While the character became well known thanks to the ABC live action series (which moved to WB in its final three seasons), this series will be based more off of the character’s comic book stories.

Spike Lee gets into the Superhero game with “Nightwatch”

A recent report by THR has confirmed that Spike Lee is in negotiations with Sony to direct a film based on the Marvel superhero Nightwatch. The film is being written by Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker and continues Sony’s attempt to expand their superhero franchises past Spider-Man. Other upcoming Sony films include a Venom film starring Tom Hardy (set for release this October) and Silver and Black, a film based on the Spider-Man characters Silver Sable and Black Cat (in pre-production).

Golden Rule: The Oscar Winners

Last night the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences held the 90th annual Academy Awards. We’ve been covering the race and there were some slight surprises. Dunkirk edged out Baby Driver and I, Tonya to take home both Sound Oscars and Editing. The Shape of Water took home Best Picture over Three Billboards. But overall it was slightly predictable. The Academy followed along with what most Awards groups had picked. They also did the usual of awarding Best Picture and Director to the same film. Something that’s very rarely split. Overall it was a mostly predictable evening. We hope you’ve enjoyed all of our coverage on the Oscar race. Below is the full list of winners.
