James Gunn, writer and director of the hit Guardians of the Galaxy films was fired from the franchise by Disney this summer. Fans have been curious as to what his next big project would be, and it looks like he may be joining the other team. We have some news and some ideas on what this may mean for the future of the DC film Universe.

Yesterday the Internet went ablaze with word that Henry Cavill would no longer be playing Superman. THR reported that talks between Cavill and Warner Brothers over a Shazam cameo fell apart, leading to the actor leaving the role of Superman altogether. After that Deadline reported that WB is looking to take the Superman role in a new direction, with the hopes of casting Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther) as the Man of Steel. Then things got even more confusing…
The 2018 San Diego International Comic Con has come to a close but we still have TONS of news from the yearly event! The DC universe is adding another cinematic superhero to its ranks when Shazam hits theaters next year. Cast members Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer were joined by Director F. Sandberg in a panel hosted by Aisha Tyler. The group talked about making the film and revealed the first footage from the upcoming flick. The 2018 San Diego International Comic Con is in full swing and we’ve got all the big updates you want to hear about! Every year there’s a question of who “won Comic Con.” This year it seems as though DC has finally taken that mantle after years of disappointment and uncertainty. The biggest highlight of Warner Brothers panels was the Aquaman panel, which featured Director James Wan and stars, Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson and Yahya Abdul Mateen II.
