In a move that could either be the beginning of the end of regular cable, or an incredibly stupid plan, Warner Media has announced plans for their own streaming service.
In March of this year Lucasfilm and Disney announced that Director Jon Favreau (Iron Man) would be executive producing the first live-action Star Wars TV show. this week They’ve revealed the title of the show, The Mandalorian, details on the production, and the first photo from the series.

Last month director James Gunn was fired by Disney over some offensive tweets from roughly ten years ago. Gunn’s firing has brought on tons of commentary on what should and shouldn’t be considered fireable, whether Disney was right to fire him, and who from the Marvel team supports Gunn. We could get into all that, but it’s all speculation. There’s only one thing that we know as of now: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will not be directed by James Gunn. He had just finished the first draft of the script, which may also be rewritten depending on the direction Disney and Marvel decide to go.
